Afghanistan’s Private Sector promised to provide people of Arghandab district of Kandahar Province with humanitarian, life-saving, food, and cash assistance

On March/15th/2021, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Muhammad Ashraf Ghani and the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s Chairmanship met with the elderly of Arghandab district of Kandahar Province and had a discussion about their existing problems.

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s First Deputy to the Board of Directors Mr. Muhammad Younus Muhmand, Mr. Khan Jan Alokozay member of the Board of Directors, Financial and Administrative Deputy to the Executive Board Mr. Mirwais Hotak, President’s adviser in exports affairs Mr. Jalaluddin Saeed, Kabul Chamber of Commerce and Investment (KCCI)’s Deputy to the Board of Directors Mr. Homayoon Khawaja Zada, traders and a number of investors also attended this meeting.

H.E. President expressed his condolences with the people of Arghandab and provided the governmental agencies with the following instructions:
•    Administrative Office of the President, to clear the mines of the area
•    Ministries of Agriculture, Rural Rehabilitation, Public Health, Hajj and Religious Affairs, Ministry of Natural Disasters Management, and Independent Directorate of Local Governance, to coordinate with the governor of Kandahar and provide people with assistance packages and rehabilitate the ruined houses
•    All relevant governmental agencies, to provide the assistance fully, justly, equally, and without any corruption
On behalf of the Private Sector, Mr. Muhmand expressed his condolences with the people of Afghandab and promised to provide 1650 households with humanitarian assistance packages and treat their patients in Muhmand Kandahar Hospital.
