Afghan government endorses national trade policy
(Kabul-Geneva) – Afghanistan has achieved another milestone in its efforts to use global markets to drive growth and job creation with a cabinet meeting chaired by President Ashraf Ghani endorsing the country’s first national trade policy. The policy, which was endorsed on 9 October, sets out a five-year agenda for overcoming challenges that Afghan businesses face in tapping into international value chains.
Afghan Economic Growth through Islamic Banking
Today September 19, EmendGroup with co-support from Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) organized a conference on “Afghan Economic Growth through Islamic Banking” at Kabul Serena. The objectives of the Conference are to promote awareness, reduce understanding gap about Islamic banking and to provide a platform to the members of business community to present their questions about Islamic banking and remove any possible misconceptions thereto.

Businesses call for measures to improve infrastructure, security, tax system and market demand
According to the ACCI Business Monitor Report published today, the overall business condition improved in last quarter 2016, compared to the same season of 2015; but despite the improvement, the business climate indicators are negative for all surveyed business sectors.
