ACCI participated an online meeting held under the title of women’s access to easy transport services

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s Acting Chief Executive Officer to the Executive Board Mr. Shafiqullah Atayee participated an online meeting held under the title of women’s access to easy transport services by (IFC) and talked about the existing challenges and opportunities.  

At the beginning of the meeting, a research report by the World Bank on the relevant issues, the problems and challenges of women in the transport sector, the steps taken by the government in this regard and the position of donor countries were discussed.

Mr. Atayee commended the professional members of the IFC for convening the meeting and said that private sector, investment, improved procedures, joint ventures (PPP) and full attention of the government in this regard plays an important role to eliminate the stated problem.

During the meeting, Ms. Wagma Mohammad Karokhel, Senior Director of the International Fund Committee (IFC), representatives of civil society and the Kabul Municipality discussed women's access to easy transportation services and the steps taken by relevant government agencies in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, all participants took responsibility for further cooperation.
