Policy and Technical Deputy of the ACCI Mr. Shafiqullah Atayee, acting head for the Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution (ACDR) Mr. Mehdawe Kherad, a number of arbitrators, judges, lawyers, and private sector members launched a seminar under the title (Introduction to and Implementation of the Commercial Arbitration Decisions in the Legal System of Afghanistan) at ACCI.
Mr. Atayee said, “Based on (Chambers Affairs Law and ACCI’s Statute) ACCI established ACDR in 2015 in order to put an end to the commercial disputes of the traders of the country.” He, furthermore, said that providing arbitration services for the private sector of the country, editing arbitration decisions and policies, introducing to and implementation of the Commercial Arbitration Decisions in the Legal System of Afghanistan, and conducting academic seminars and awareness programs are the achievements of the ACDR in last six years.
Dean of the Law and Political Science faculty of the Avicenna University Dr. Abdul Wahid Afzaly said, “ACDR can provide the required facilities and legal solutions for the commercial disputes of the traders of the country.”
ACDR’s acting head Mr. Mehdawe Kherad provided information about the activities and services of the ACDR i.e., arbitration, financial clearance, and field professionals.
The following issues (Authority of the Arbitration in the light of the constitution of Afghanistan) and (introducing to and implementation of the Commercial Arbitration Decisions in the Legal System of Afghanistan) were explained by the relevant professionals during the seminar.
