ACCI’s chairman and Commercial and Industry Minister met the governor of Herat Province and had a discussion about overcoming the existing challenges in Afghan trade

Commercial and Industry Minister H.E Nisar Ahmad Faizi Ghoryani, ACCI’s Chairman Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar, Commercial Deputy of the board of directors Khairuddin Mael Ahmadi, head of the secretariate of the board of directors Khan Muhammad Sarfaraz Baz, head of the international relations of the board of directors Sayed Jawid Burhan, head of the finance of the board of directors Mr. Sherin Agha Sakhi, ACCI’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi, Khan Jan Alokzay and Azarakhash Hafizi members of the board of directors, and Herat Chamber’s head Mr. Younus Qazi Zada met with the governor of Herat Province and discussed; how to provide further support to the domestic production and markets and enhancing regional trade.

Herat’s governor welcomed the Commercial and Industry Minister and ACCI’s chairman and said, “There are numerous commercial and economic opportunities in Afghanistan and constructing air corridors could help to the increase of exports.”

He also hopes that Afghan saffron would find its way to the regional and international markets.

Mr. Ahmadyar said, “The only way to have the national and international investors invest in Afghanistan is to have the Afghan government put an end to the existing problems and provide the required facilities.”  

H.E Ghoryani said, “Signing MoUs and Agreements with the interested regional countries can result in the expansion of trade and commerce and that we, the government and the people as a whole should strive to remove the existing corruption in governmental organizations.”
