Afghan – Pak Joint Chamber’s fifth meeting was held in Islamabad

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s board of directors Investment Deputy Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi, Khan Jan Alokozay member of the board of directors, Afghanistan Federation Chamber (ACF)’s Deputy and head of Mines and Industry Mr. Toor Malang Shegiwal, Deputy of Women Chamber Ms. Parwarish Oryakhel, Afghan economy representative Ms. Samina Wadeer, Afghan economic affairs in charge in Islamabad Mr. Bahram Muhammadi, and a number of traders of the country participated in the fifth cycle meeting of the Afghan – Pak Joint Chamber held in Islamabad.  

Sectorial heads of the Pakistani Ministries, headquarter of the Pakistani Customs, Presidents of the Karachi and Torkham ports, representatives of Pakistani parliament and central bank, and Commercial, Industry, and Women Chambers also participated in the aforementioned meeting.

Afghanistan and Pakistan Private Sectors representatives had a discussion about the following issues. (existing commercial and transit problems in Torkham and Ghulam Khan ports, changes in APTTA contract, Afghan trader’s banking problems in Pakistani banks, problems of transactions, the passing problems of the Afghan passengers from Torkham port, the delay of the Afghan merchandize in Pakistan during COVID-19 pandemic, problems in exports, interference of various Pakistani agencies in port affairs, employment of a female representative of the Women Chamber in the board of directors of the Joint Chamber, good relations of both country’s women chambers, and a number of technical problems.)

Pakistani Private Sector’s leadership promised that they would share all the concerning issues with the line departments of the Pakistani Government and will provide the Afghan – Pak Joint Chamber with information about the practical measures of the Pakistani Government.
