ACCI’s Investment Deputy Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi, Khan Jan Alokozay and Ahmad Zia Azimi Shenozada members of the board of directors traveled to Nangarhar Province in order to have a sound discussion with the regional representatives of the chamber and with the governor of Nangarhar Province H.E Zia-ul-haq Amarkhel about the existing problems and challenges in Torkham port.
ACCI’s board of directors said that commercial merchandise of the traders are delayed for so long in the customs of the country especially in Torkham port without any logical reasons and asked for the practical solutions for these problems.
Regional representatives of the Nangarhar chamber of commerce and investment said that delay of the commercial merchandise and bribery in Torkhan port are serious issues and asked both the Afghan and Pakistani governments to take measures in eliminating these problems and overcoming these challenges.
The governor of Nangarhar Province H.E Zia-ul-haq Amarkhel said that they have a systematic and well-organized plan for eliminating the existing problems in Torkham port.
