Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), Mr. Medirbek Tumanov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides explored new opportunities to increase the volume of trade between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan and emphasized the importance of identifying sectors with strong potential for joint cooperation. They also exchanged views on expanding economic relations between the private sectors of the two countries and discussed issues related to trade facilitation, transportation and transit of goods, the issuance of business visas, and the removal of existing barriers to trade.

Mr. Hashemi stressed the importance of strengthening economic relations between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, noting that Afghanistan's strategic geographic location enables it to serve as a key link between the markets of Central and South Asia. He also called for enhanced cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, agriculture, industry, and joint economic projects.

Mr. Medirbek Tumanov welcomed the expansion of economic cooperation with Afghanistan and reaffirmed the readiness of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic to support increased bilateral trade and provide the necessary facilities for traders and investors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the continuation of bilateral dialogue, the strengthening of cooperation between economic and trade institutions, and the adoption of practical measures to further expand economic and commercial relations between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. The meeting reflected the strong commitment of both countries to enhancing bilateral trade and economic ties and creating a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), met with Mr. Damir Saryev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, to discuss strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on increasing trade between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, identifying new areas of economic cooperation, and promoting investment opportunities. They emphasized the importance of expanding economic partnerships, enhancing joint cooperation, and increasing the exchange of trade and investment delegations.
The two sides also stressed the need for closer collaboration between the chambers of commerce of both countries to facilitate trade, strengthen private sector relations, and create new opportunities for businesses and investors in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mirajan Sulaimankhil, Mr. Faiz Ahmad Khwafi, and Mr. Enayatullah Siddiqzai, Deputy Chairmen of the ACCI Board of Directors, as well as Mr. Najabat Haidari and Mr. Sakhi Ahmad Noorzada, Members of the ACCI Board of Directors.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of both sides to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation and to foster a favorable environment for future partnerships.

Mr. Abdullah Rahimi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), led a 21-member business delegation comprising prominent Afghan businesspeople to participate in the International Manufacturing and Industrial Machinery Exhibition held in Chengdu, People's Republic of China.

During the exhibition, the delegation visited various exhibition booths showcasing a wide range of industrial and manufacturing machinery. They also held discussions with exhibitors regarding different types of machinery required by Afghanistan's industrial sector, as well as the procedures and conditions for exporting and transporting such equipment to Afghanistan.

Mr. Rahimi and the accompanying business delegation also toured several manufacturing plants, where Afghan businesspeople were encouraged to procure machinery relevant to their respective industries and business activities.

In addition, Mr. Rahimi met with representatives of several machinery manufacturing companies interested in investing in Afghanistan. He encouraged them to explore investment opportunities in the country's industrial and manufacturing sectors.

It is worth noting that Afghan businesspeople signed six MoUs to purchase manufacturing machinery, with a total value exceeding US$30 million.

Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Investment (ACCI), led a business delegation to Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Exhibition, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The exhibition brought together the chairmen and deputy chairmen of the chambers of commerce from the SCO member states and was officially inaugurated by Mr. Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi held meetings with senior officials, including the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The delegation also included Mr. Mirajan Sulaiman Khail, Mr. Faiz Ahmad Khawafi, and Mr. Enayatullah Sediqzai, Deputy Chairmen of the ACCI Board of Directors; Mr. Najabat Haidari and Mr. Sakhi Ahmad Noorzad, Members of the ACCI Board of Directors; and Mr. Azizullah Amin, Member of the Board of Directors of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
During the visit, the Chairman of ACCI, accompanied by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, toured various sections of the exhibition. Both sides emphasized expanding trade and economic relations, strengthening joint cooperation, increasing the volume of trade, enhancing private sector collaboration between Afghanistan and the SCO member states, and creating new opportunities for investment and trade.

The first Afghanistan–Kyrgyzstan Private Sector Business Forum was held in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, through the cooperation of the chambers of commerce of both countries. The forum was attended by the presidents and deputy presidents of the chambers of commerce, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, government officials, business leaders, and investors.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, welcomed the Afghan business delegation led by Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI). Referring to the historical and cultural ties between the two countries, he noted that bilateral trade had reached approximately US$50 million in recent years. While this represents steady growth, he emphasized that the current trade volume remains below its full potential and requires greater efforts from both sides. He also highlighted Afghanistan’s strategic role as a regional transit hub and underscored the potential for cooperation in the agriculture, construction, and fresh and dried fruits sectors.

Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi described the forum as an important step toward strengthening economic and trade cooperation and expressed his appreciation to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for its warm hospitality. He emphasized that Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan possess extensive opportunities for economic and commercial collaboration, noting that stronger bilateral relations would benefit both countries while contributing to enhanced regional cooperation.

The Chairman of ACCI proposed five key areas of cooperation: increasing exchanges of trade and investment delegations, organizing joint exhibitions and business forums, facilitating transit and transportation, encouraging joint investments, and establishing a regular mechanism to address the challenges faced by the private sector.

Mawlawi Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, also emphasized the importance of expanding economic cooperation and strengthening ties between the chambers of commerce. He reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting private sector initiatives.

During the second session of the forum, an agreement was signed to establish the Afghanistan–Kyrgyzstan Joint Chamber of Commerce to expand bilateral trade, promote joint investment, and reduce trade barriers.

At the conclusion of the forum, several memorandums of understanding and commercial agreements with a combined value exceeding US$350 million were signed. The largest agreement, valued at US$300 million was concluded between Khawafi Holding Group of Afghanistan and Terek Tash of Kyrgyzstan for the establishment of a cement manufacturing plant. This landmark agreement represents a significant step toward expanding joint investment and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The forum demonstrated the strong commitment of Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan to enhancing bilateral economic and trade relations and creating new opportunities for future cooperation and investment.
