ACCI’s First Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Haji Muhammad Younus Muhmand and ACCI’s Investment Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi met the head of the commercial delegation of the Indian Embassy for Afghanistan Mr. Vibu Thriphaty and had a discussion about the existing problems of the Afghan traders and investors in Indian customs and India.

ACCI’s First Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Haji Muhammad Younus Muhmand said that on one hand, Indian Custom does not let Afghan agricultural products enter India because of not having Hing certificates, and from the other hand, Indian Embassy for Afghanistan does not issue urgent or long-term business visas for the Afghan traders and investor.

He, furthermore, asked the Commercial Delegation of the Indian Embassy to solve the existing problems and to provide the required facilities for Afghan traders and investors.

ACCI’s Investment Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi insisted on having good commercial relations with the countries of the region and asked the Commercial Delegation of the Indian Embassy for Afghanistan to provide the required facilities for Afghan traders and investors in India.

The Commercial Delegation of the Indian Embassy for Afghanistan said that the Indian Embassy has always been cooperative to the Private Sector of Afghanistan, especially to ACCI, and promised to provide solutions for the expressed concerns. 

ACCI’s First Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Haji Muhammad Younus Muhmand, ACCI’s Investment Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi, head of the secretariat of the board of directors Khan Muhammad Sarfaraz Baz, head of the finance of the board of directors Mr. Sherin Agha Sakhi, Mr. Ahmad Zia Azimi Shenozada member of the board of directors, President of the Pine Process company Mr. Muhibullah Gardezay, Ministers of the Cabinet, and Governors of Paktia, Paktika, and Khost Provinces inaugurated the Pine Process Company through an online meeting held in the Presidential house.

President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan H.E Ashraf Ghani appreciated the Raheem Gardezay Group by giving it an award and said that internal investment leads to economic stability, unity and development of the country.

H.E Ghani added that Gardez was only famous for its tremendous historical background but now it strives to be famous for its trade and business too.

H.E Ghani also thanked the people of Paktia, Paktika, and Khost Provinces for the conservation of the pine jungles and said that the government would facilitate fundamental investment in this regard.

Mr. Muhmand said, “We are willing to produce, process and do marketing for other agricultural products of Afghanistan while the government should find more job opportunities for the unemployed.  

Mr. Muhmand said that in order to convince the investors to invest inside the country the presidential house should be providing them with medals and appreciation letters.  

Mr. Mahboob Gardezay said, “Establishment of this huge and standardized Pine Process Company gives hope to the people of Paktika and if we are provided with the required facilities, we are willing to invest in electricity also which would result in more job opportunities for the unemployed people of the country and could reduce the poverty.”

Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Minister H.E Anwarul Haq Ahadi said, “This company is established with the innovation and persuasion of the H.E President Ghani and results in the increase of income and pine.” He, furthermore, said that a 12 percent increase has been added to the yearly 24 thousand tons of pine production as a result of the government’s struggles.

Pine Process Company is established at a cost of six million and five hundred thousand U.S dollars and has the capacity to employ one thousand people directly and ten thousand people indirectly.     

ACCI’s First Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Haji Muhammad Younus Muhmand, ACCI’s Investment Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi, head of the international relations of the board of directors Sayed Jawid Burhan, head of the finance of the board of directors Mr. Sherin Agha Sakhi, and ACCI’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi attended the thirteenth meeting of the Executive Committee of the ACCI chaired by the ACCI’s Chairman Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar.

Secretariate of the Board of Directors presented the agenda of the meeting to the participants, and suggestions of the Executive Committee and Directorate were considered.

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s Policy and Technical Deputy Mr. Shafiqullah Atayee, Kabul University’s Chancellor professor Muhammad Osman Babury, Academic Deputy of the Ministry of Higher Education Mr. Abudul Tawab Bala Karzai, and Kabul University’s lecturers and students attended a consultative meeting which was held in Kabul University for establishing a Business Incubation Center.

Mr. Babury said, “Private Sector, Line Governmental Departments, and Educational Administrations play an import role in how to; create more job opportunities and how to build the capacity of the employers.”

Mr. Abdul Tawab Bala Karzai said that educational administrations play an important role in creating job opportunities and asked educational administrations that they should be doing the same thing on the provincial level.

Mr. Shafiqullah Atayee said, “Business Incubation Centers lead to build the capacity of the small entrepreneurship, to find financial support for the commercial and investment plans, and to create business mindset in students.”

He added that ACCI supports the Business Incubation Center and to further improve its endeavors an MoU needs to be signed by both sides.    

In a meeting with the Women Chamber of Commerce and Investment (WCCI), ACCI’s Chairman Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar talked about joint cooperation and the problems that female traders are facing nowadays.

Mr. Ahmadyar said that in order to improve WCCI, the current board of directors of the ACCI and its chairmanship is committed to providing comprehensive cooperation and assistance.
