A delegation from the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment led by Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of ACCI, participated in the Third Turkmenistan Investment Forum, held on October 1, 2026, in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, at the official invitation of the Ministry of Economy of Turkmenistan.
The delegation included Mr. Haji Faiz Ahmad Khawafi, Deputy for Provincial Chambers Affairs; Mr. Mirajan Sulaimankhel, Deputy for Policy and Government Relations; Mr. Mohammad Younus Qazizada, Chairman of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment; Mr. Abdullah Noori, Chairman of the Nimroz Chamber of Commerce and Investment; Mr. Fazal Ahmad Doosti, Deputy of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment; Mr. Ahmad Shakib Akbari, Chief Executive Officer of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment; as well as a number of traders and investors from various provinces of Afghanistan.
The international forum was attended by official delegations representing economic and trade institutions, traders, and investors from various countries. Discussions and exchanges of views focused on investment opportunities, economic capacities, and avenues for expanding trade and economic cooperation among participating countries.
The participation of the ACCI delegation provided an important opportunity to showcase Afghanistan’s economic potential, attract investment, explore new markets, and strengthen trade and economic relations with Turkmenistan and other countries in the region.
