Ahead of the Fifth Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) National and International Exhibition, a special coordination meeting was held to review the progress of preparations, accelerate executive and logistical arrangements, and strengthen coordination among the various departments of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment and attended by the Chamber’s deputies, Head of the Secretariat, Deputy for Policy and Technical Affairs of the Executive Board, heads of departments, and relevant staff. The meeting was held at the main office of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
At the outset, Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi appreciated the efforts of the members of the Special Committee for Organizing the Exhibition and emphasized the need to accelerate preparations and ensure that all assigned responsibilities are carried out accurately and on time.
In his remarks, the Chairman of ACCI emphasized that the success of the exhibition depends not only on available resources and plans, but, above all, on unity, coordination, teamwork, discipline, and a shared sense of responsibility among all departments of the Chamber. He noted that although the deputies, directorates, and departments have different responsibilities, they share a common objective, and the success of each department contributes to the success of the entire institution.
Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi also identified mutual respect, cooperation, and solidarity among colleagues as important principles of the working environment, emphasizing that differences of opinion should be managed in a spirit of cooperation and with the aim of improving and strengthening the work.
He called on officials not to limit themselves to identifying challenges, but to provide practical and implementable solutions alongside every problem. He further emphasized that, given the limited time available, no task that can be completed today should be postponed until tomorrow. All departments were instructed to prioritize their responsibilities and complete them within the specified timeframe.
The Chairman also stressed the importance of practical coordination and timely information-sharing among the deputies, directorates, Public relations Department, Foreign Relations Department and other relevant sections. He stated that all employees represent the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment before domestic and international guests and participants and must present a professional image of the Chamber through discipline, responsibility, professionalism, and respectful conduct.
Following this, Mr. Ahmad Shakil Hazim, Deputy for Policy and Technical Affairs of the Executive Board and Head of the Special Committee for Organizing the Exhibition presented a comprehensive report on the progress of preparations and activities carried out. He also briefed the participants on the latest status of executive and logistical arrangements and the planned programs.
Officials from various departments also presented reports on their respective activities and progress. Their views, recommendations, and proposed solutions for addressing challenges and accelerating preparations were discussed and reviewed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi emphasized that criticism should be aimed at improvement rather than blame or undermining others. He also stressed that alongside identifying shortcomings, the efforts and positive performance of colleagues should be recognized and appreciated.
He called on all officials and employees to set aside individual and departmental interests during the remaining days and prioritize the success of the exhibition, the reputation of the Chamber, and the interests of the country’s private sector.
The Chairman noted that the exhibition is not merely a multi-day event, but an opportunity to demonstrate the managerial capacity, coordination, sense of responsibility, and teamwork capabilities of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
The Fifth Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) National and International Exhibition is scheduled to be held on 7 October 2026 at the Afghanistan International Expo Center in Kabul.
