Around 100 raw material traders, representatives of relevant unions, and officials from Kabul Mandawi and other wholesale markets in Kabul City met with the Deputies of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment to discuss their challenges and concerns regarding the transportation and unloading of raw materials in Kabul City.
The traders highlighted challenges arising from the unloading of large cargo trucks at the city’s entry points, including limited storage capacity, the risk of damage to goods, and increased unloading and loading costs. They called for serious attention to their concerns and the facilitation of the process of transporting raw materials into the city.
In response to the requests of the traders and representatives of the relevant unions, a joint committee comprising representatives of ACCI and the traders was established to share their concerns and specific proposals with officials of Kabul Municipality and develop practical solutions to address these challenges.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Enayatullah Seddiqi, Deputy for Services of ACCI; Mr. Noor Ahmad Nooralam, Deputy for Economic Development; Mr. Mujib-ul-Rahman Shirzad, Deputy for Strategic Relations; and Mr. Zainullah Hassany, Acting CEO of the Executive Board of ACCI.
