A memorandum of understanding between the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) and the Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) was signed online in the presence of Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, and Mr. Jeffrey Grieco, Chairman of the Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce.
The agreement was signed with the aim of expanding cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, private-sector development, and strengthening trade relations and cooperation between the two chambers.
Referring to his first meeting with the Chairman of ACCI, Mr. Jeffrey highlighted his initiative, seriousness, and dedication, and expressed his interest in expanding cooperation with the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
During the meeting, Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi invited Mr. Jeffrey to participate in the Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) International Exhibition. Mr. Jeffrey also announced that he would participate in the exhibition along with a number of traders from the United States.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Mujib-ul-Rahman Shirzad and Mr. Abdul Nafi Barakzai, Vice chairmen of the Chamber, as well as a number of members of the Board of Directors.
The agreement marks an important step toward strengthening trade and economic relations between the private sectors of Afghanistan and the United States.
