A number of traders and fresh fruit exporters, along with members of the Fresh Fruit Sellers’ Union, met with Mr. Enayatullah Sediqzai, Deputy for Services, and Mr. Mujib-ul-Rahman Shirzad, Deputy for Strategic Affairs of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), to discuss the challenges currently facing the fresh fruit market in Kabul.
During the meeting, the traders shared their concerns and challenges with the Chamber’s leadership, particularly regarding shop rental fees at the fresh fruit market in the Tahiya Maskan Market and the issue of sealing fresh fruit shops. They requested the Chamber’s support in following up on these matters and working toward solutions to the challenges they face.
The Chamber’s deputies listened to the views and recommendations of the traders and reaffirmed ACCI’s commitment to supporting private sector stakeholders and pursuing their concerns through the relevant channels.
It was also emphasized that the Chamber will maintain the necessary cooperation and coordination with relevant institutions to address the existing challenges, create better conditions for traders to operate, and promote the development of the fresh fruit trade.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between the Chamber and stakeholders in the fresh fruit sector was emphasized to address challenges and support the commercial activities of this sector.
