Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), accompanied by Mr. Mayel Khairkhwah, Advisor to the Chamber, visited several industrial parks in Kabul, including Jumma Mohammadi Industrial Park and Barik-Ab Industrial Park, as well as a number of newly established factories operating in these parks.
The visit was conducted to assess the current situation of the industrial parks, review the progress of new investments, and identify the existing needs and challenges. During the visit, the availability of electricity, land, infrastructure, and other essential facilities for investors and factory owners was also assessed.
The ACCI Chairman also met with a number of investors and factory owners and listened firsthand to their concerns, needs, and proposals. During these meetings, the importance of supporting domestic investment, improving the environment for industrial activities, and creating suitable conditions for the development and expansion of industries was emphasized.
Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, emphasizing the importance of the industrial sector in economic growth, job creation, and strengthening domestic production, stated that the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment is committed to raising the concerns and needs of the private sector, particularly investors and producers, with relevant institutions through legal channels and to providing the necessary cooperation and follow-up to address them.
He also encouraged investors to continue and expand their industrial activities and investments in the country, emphasizing the need for joint cooperation between the private sector and government institutions to develop industrial infrastructure and improve the investment environment.
