Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), departed for Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, at the head of a high-level trade delegation comprising members of the Chamber's leadership and more than 100 Afghan traders and investors.
During the visit, the Chairman and the accompanying delegation are scheduled to meet with the Governor and local officials of the Syrdarya Region, as well as hold joint meetings with Uzbek traders and investors to discuss the expansion of bilateral trade relations and opportunities for joint investment.
A visit to several manufacturing factories in the Syrdarya Region is also included in the agenda of the three-day official visit.
The delegation accompanying the Chairman includes Mr. Faiz Ahmad Khawafi, Deputy Chairman for Provincial Affairs; Mr. Sakhi Ahmad Noorzad and Mr. Yahya Pashtun, Members of the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment; along with more than 100 Afghan traders and investors.
