The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) hosted an awareness program for a number of employees of electronic money and payment service companies at its conference hall, with the participation of members of the ACCI leadership.
The program was attended by Mr. Habibullah Omar, ACCI Deputy for Social and Cultural Affairs; Mr. Hamidullah Habibi, Member of the ACCI Board of Directors and Chairman of the Construction and Infrastructure Committee; Mr. Mohammad Qasim Amarkhail and Mr. Ghulam Yahya Pashtun, Members of the ACCI Board of Directors; and Zainullah Hasani, ACCI Deputy for Finance and Administration and Acting Chief Executive Officer.
The speakers highlighted the importance and growing impact of Afghanistan's electronic financial system and encouraged electronic money and payment service companies to strengthen and further expand their activities in this sector.
They also emphasized the need to promote the wider adoption of electronic payment systems across the country and called on companies operating in this field to accelerate their efforts in introducing and familiarizing the public with modern digital payment solutions.
The program concluded with an informative presentation delivered by Mr. Sayed Rahim Shah Agha, Chairman of the Afghanistan Electronic Money and Payment Institutions Association, who provided participants with an overview of the electronic payment sector and its future development opportunities.
