A leadership delegation of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), comprising Mr. Mirajan Sulaimankhail, Deputy for Government Relations, Mr. Faiz Ahmad Khawafi, Deputy for Provincial Affairs, and Mr. Mirwais Wazirzai Katawazi, Member of the Board of Directors, visited the Tirik Tash Cement Factory in Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan.
With a production capacity of 5,000 tons of cement per day, Tirik Tash is one of the largest cement manufacturing plants in Kyrgyzstan, operating with advanced technologies and modern production standards.
During the visit, the ACCI delegation toured various sections of the factory and received detailed briefings on the cement production process, technical systems, manufacturing equipment, and quality control procedures. The two sides also discussed opportunities for joint investment in cement production and the development of Afghanistan's construction materials industry.
As part of the discussions, it was agreed to establish a similar cement manufacturing plant in Afghanistan in cooperation with Tirik Tash and its Chinese partners. The project is expected to contribute significantly to industrial development, meet domestic demand, create employment opportunities, and reduce Afghanistan's reliance on imported cement.
The ACCI leadership described the initiative as an important step toward attracting foreign investment, transferring modern technology and expertise, and expanding Afghanistan's manufacturing sector. They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation and investment ties between Afghanistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
The visit reflects the strong commitment of both sides to enhancing bilateral trade relations and expanding industrial cooperation.
