Mr. Abdullah Rahimi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), led a 21-member business delegation comprising prominent Afghan businesspeople to participate in the International Manufacturing and Industrial Machinery Exhibition held in Chengdu, People's Republic of China.
During the exhibition, the delegation visited various exhibition booths showcasing a wide range of industrial and manufacturing machinery. They also held discussions with exhibitors regarding different types of machinery required by Afghanistan's industrial sector, as well as the procedures and conditions for exporting and transporting such equipment to Afghanistan.
Mr. Rahimi and the accompanying business delegation also toured several manufacturing plants, where Afghan businesspeople were encouraged to procure machinery relevant to their respective industries and business activities.
In addition, Mr. Rahimi met with representatives of several machinery manufacturing companies interested in investing in Afghanistan. He encouraged them to explore investment opportunities in the country's industrial and manufacturing sectors.
It is worth noting that Afghan businesspeople signed six MoUs to purchase manufacturing machinery, with a total value exceeding US$30 million.
