Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Investment (ACCI), led a business delegation to Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Exhibition, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The exhibition brought together the chairmen and deputy chairmen of the chambers of commerce from the SCO member states and was officially inaugurated by Mr. Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi held meetings with senior officials, including the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The delegation also included Mr. Mirajan Sulaiman Khail, Mr. Faiz Ahmad Khawafi, and Mr. Enayatullah Sediqzai, Deputy Chairmen of the ACCI Board of Directors; Mr. Najabat Haidari and Mr. Sakhi Ahmad Noorzad, Members of the ACCI Board of Directors; and Mr. Azizullah Amin, Member of the Board of Directors of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
During the visit, the Chairman of ACCI, accompanied by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, toured various sections of the exhibition. Both sides emphasized expanding trade and economic relations, strengthening joint cooperation, increasing the volume of trade, enhancing private sector collaboration between Afghanistan and the SCO member states, and creating new opportunities for investment and trade.
