Mr. Alhaj Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), in the presence of Alhaj Habibullah Omar, Deputy for Social and Cultural Affairs, met with Mr. Navjot Singh Sobut, Head of Almans Indian Group of Companies, and his delegation at the ACCI headquarters.
The meeting focused on opportunities for economic and trade cooperation, technical knowledge transfer, joint investment in infrastructure projects, and facilitating private sector activities.
Mr. Sobut expressed the company’s readiness to invest in sectors such as mining, oil, construction, and to share technical expertise with Afghan traders. He requested information from ACCI regarding investment opportunities and procedures in Afghanistan.
Mr. Hashemi welcomed the interest of Indian companies in Afghan markets, emphasizing joint investments between Afghan and Indian traders, establishing sustainable partnerships, and leveraging improved trade relations. He assured that ACCI, within the framework of Afghan law, would provide necessary support and facilitate foreign investment. He also highlighted the importance of establishing a joint Afghanistan–India chamber to promote exports, exchange business ideas, create trade facilities, and support joint investment initiatives.
Both sides agreed to maintain ongoing communication, review proposals technically, and follow up on discussed matters to initiate effective and sustainable cooperation.
