Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s First Deputy to the Board of Directors Mr. Muhammad Younus Muhmand and Administrative and Financial Deputy to the Executive Board Mr. Mirwais Hotak traveled to Kandahar Province and started the second phase of distributing life-saving assistance to the victims of the Arghandab district.

Mr. Rasooli district governor of the Arghandab appreciated these generous donations of the traders of the country and addressed these donations as crucial and essential for the victims.
These food packages contain flour, rice, and ghee and have been distributed to 670 households and the distribution process still continues.

Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment (HCCI) organized a training session under the subject of "Fundamentals of Commercial Contracts"
Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment (HCCI)’s members of the Board of Directors, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Chamber of Agricultural and Livestock products, a number of traders and members of the private sector participated the inauguration ceremony of a workshop organized under the subject of foundations of trade agreements.
ACCI’s member of the board of directors Mr. Jan Aqa Sadeqi, said that such programs have a positive impact on business and can prevent financial losses.
Mr. Mohammad Rafi Rahmani, Executive Director of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, spoke about the importance of the program and added that in the current situation signing a trade agreement is an urgent need for business and traders. Investors need to know the basics of the commercial contract.
A lecturer of the Herat University Mr. Hafeezullah Sidiqi said, “Implementing legal rules along with commercial and economic rules can prevent loss when a businessman agrees to have a commercial contract with someone.”
Another lecturer of the Herat University Mr. Abdul Saboor Mateen said, “A commercial contract based on legal consultations can result in the increase of commercial activities and stability.”
ACCI’s CEO met with the Executive Department of Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment
Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi and Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment (HCCI)’s President Mr. Younus Qazi Zada met the Executive Department of Herat’s Chamber and had a discussion about their daily activities and the way of carrying out their tasks.
Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment (HCCI)’s President Mr. Younus Qazi Zada welcomed ACCI’s Chief Executive Officer and appreciated his hard work.
He added that HCCI’s employees always strive to carry out their tasks to the entire satisfaction of the ACCI and would never neglect their official activities.
Later on, all employees of the HCCI explained their duties and responsibilities and stated the existing problems and challenges.
At the end of the meeting, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi said that he is willing to accept any idea or platform which could enhance administrative tasks and appreciated HCCI’s activities.
ACCI’s Chairman and Minister of Industry and Commerce inaugurated a solar energy company in Herat Province
ACCI’s Chairman Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar, governor of Herat Province Mr. Sayed Abdul Waheed Qatali, ACCI’s Investment Deputy of the board of the directors Mr. Khairuddin Mael Ahmadi, head of the secretariat of the board of directors Khan Muhammad Sarfaraz Baz, head of the international relations of the board of directors Sayed Jawid Burhan, head of the finance of the board of directors Mr. Sherin Agha Sakhi, Khan Jan Alokzay, Azarakhash Hafizi members of the board of directors, Herat Provincial Chamber’s head Mr. Younus Qazi Zada, and ACCI’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi inaugurated a solar energy company by the name of (Atemad) in Herat Province.
Mr. Ahmadyar said, “Internal investment leads to the economic development of the country and creates more job opportunities.” He, furthermore, said that the government’s support of the investors can persuade more and more internal and external investors to invest in the country.
H.E Ghoryani asked the solar energy companies to use Afghan-Made solar in their products.
Mr. Qatali said that establishing solar energy companies is one of the fundamental necessities of the country and asked the people to use internal products.
Head of the Atemad solar energy company and member of the board of directors of the Herat Provincial Chamber Mr. Muhammad Younus Faqeeri said that this company produces 300-to-500-megabyte electricity a year and hundreds of people are busy working in this company.
ACCI and HCCIs' Chairmanships met with the Jihadi leader Ameer Muhammad Ismael Khan
Khan Jan Alokozay, Ziauddin Achakzai, Jan Aqa Sadiqi, and Asmatullah Wardak members of the ACCI’s Board of Directors, Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment (HCCI)s' President Mr. Younus Qazi Zada, Chamber of Mines and Industry Chairmanship, a number of traders and investors met with one of the Jihadi leaders Ameer Muhammad Ismael Khan and expressed their concerns about fires in Islam Qala Port.
They said that traders and investors invest millions of dollars in the country and creates numerous job opportunities for the people, however, the government does not take this into account.
Khan Jan Alokozay ACCI’s member of the board of directors said, “The main reason of the fires in Islam Qala Port is the uncustomary evaluations of the goods by the National Standard Authority (NSA) and existing corruption in the customs of the country is another big barrier in front of legal trade.”
Ameer Muhammad Ismael Khan said, “If a tragedy like Islam Qala Port occurs in one of the developed countries, the president of the country himself would travel to the affected site and condole with the people, but this thing never happens in Afghanistan.”
He, furthermore, asked the government to buy firefighting equipment for the customs of the country.

Mr. Hashimi said, “Exhibiting internal products plays an important role in the increase of internal products and in the development of the economy of the country.” He, furthermore, said that the rate of the Afghan imports to the countries of the region is very low and hopes that H.E Ghoryani’s appointment could lead the Afghan imports to international markets.
Mr. Alokozay said, “Existing corruption in the governmental organizations and bribery in the highways of the country negatively affects internal products, economy, and the users.” He added that internal products cannot compete (imports) unless corruption vanishes.
H.E Ghoryani said that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has launched effective and efficient programs to improve industry, commerce, and exports of the country and added that organizing exhibitions of the internal products are helpful for the stability of the economy.
Out of 100 booths of the exhibition, 75 were especially dedicated to the handicrafts of the female traders.
