ACCI CEO met with Czech Republic Ambassador

ACCI CEO Mr. Atiqullah Nusrat hold meeting with Czech Republic ambassador for Kabul, Mr Petr Štepánek and the economic counselor. Both sides discussed the issues of existing economic opportunities, recent economic developments and expansion and strengthening of bilateral business and economic relations between two countries.

The meeting took place at the embassy of Czech Republic in Kabul. Mr. Nusrat thanked the Czech embassy officials for inviting him to have briefings on current economic and business situation and relations of Afghanistan with the Central Asian countries. Mr. Nusrat said:” Afghanistan is witness of visible developments in different sectors specifically in agriculture. Many countries has shown their interest to invest in different sectors. In this regard Government of Afghanistan is strongly committed to accelerate the privatization process, implementation of the regional and para regional mega projects”. To strengthen economic and business relations between two countries, he also called launching of business events and exchange of business delegations very important.

Later, Mr. Petr Štepánek appreciated the latest economic developments in Afghanistan and the role of ACCI in this regard. He said:” Embassy of the Czech Republic for Kabul is committed to cooperate with Afghanistan. We are aware of the challenges but fortunately, investment opportunities are also available”. He insisted for joint work toward strengthening economic structures, creation of basic programs for building comprehensive trading environment and stronger relations between the chambers of two countries.
