Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchange of Turkey (TOBB) signed a Cooperation Agreement to establish an Afghan – Turkish Working Committee toward promoting trade between the two countries, to contribute industrial and technological collaboration between their enterprises and economic institutions, to coordinate jointly efforts to collect, combine, analyze, evaluate and diffuse economic information and to cooperate in partnering two countries’ local chambers to strengthen mutual knowledge and understanding between local businesses and well as exchange of best practices in providing services to their members.
Mr. Sadullah Haqyar, Head of Board of Directors’ Secretaries of ACCI and Mr. Yahya Toplu, Board Member of TOBB signed the Cooperation Agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
The event took place during 20th Executive Committee of ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry with participation of H.E. Cevdet Yılmaz, Turkish Minister of Development and H.E. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President of TOBB, H.E. Mian Muhammad Adrees, President of ECO CCI – FPCCI, H.E. Halil Ibrahim Acka, Secretary General ECO and Mr. Gholamhossein Shefei, Vice-President of Iran Chamber and Ambassadors of Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan to Turkey and also Mrs. Najiba Andeshmand, First Secretary of Afghan Embassy to Turkey on 23 December 2015 at TOBB’s Headquarter in Ankara.
Based on the agreement, both parties will co-host and organize investments forums to promote investment opportunities in both countries, will identity obstacle faced by trade and economic cooperation and will submit their proposals to respective governments in order to overcome them and will support organizing of exhibitions and trade fairs in both countries.
