Afghanistan’s Outstanding Performance was Applauded at India International Trade Fair. The 35th edition of India International Trade Fair was held on 14 – 27 November 2015 for 14 days in New Delhi city of India, where Afghani products including dray fruits, saffron, carpet, marbles, and handy crafts were exhibited in 28 booths.
7000 companies from 48 countries around the world participated in this exhibition which was inaugurated by Honorable president of India. Fortunately, this year, Afghanistan was introduced as a partner country. This international trade fair provided the opportunity for world countries to introduce and promote their products. Afghanistan also took active part in this exhibition with a 28 member delegation comprised of export companies.
The grand inauguration ceremony of this trade fair was attended on behalf of Afghan private sector and Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and industries (ACCI), by Mr. Alhaj Khanjan Alkozay Senior Vice-Chairman of ACCI, Mr. Alhaj Ahmad Tawfiq Dawari Deputy CEO of ACCI, and Mr. Mirzaman Popal Export and Industry Promotion Director of ACCI.
This exhibition enabled Afghan companies to foster great business relations with international companies, particularly Indian companies and signed a number of contracts in the dry fruits, medical plants, and carpet sectors with them.
Afghanistan’s great performance was lauded and an appreciation award was presented to Afghanistan during a glorious ending ceremony. The award was presented by Indian Finance Minister to Afghan officials, which undoubtedly holds immense significance as a great achievement for all Afghan Nation.
