Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI), held a dinner reception with Excellency Mr. Yao Jing, Chinese ambassador to Kabul in order to discuss business cooperation among the two countries, on 13 March 2016 at Kabul Star Hotel.
At the beginning Mr. Alhaj Khanjan Alkozay Senior Vice-Chairman of ACCI’s BOD while welcoming the Chinese ambassador said: “Afghanistan and China has long business relations, besides that china is the second country which we import products from and export our product as well, apart from this we invite all our Chinese traders and investor to invest in Afghanistan”.
Mr. Atiqullah Nusrat the CEO of ACCI introduced all the participants and said: “we are thankful from the ambassador and appreciate the way he coordinate and improve the business relation between these two countries, but we still have the visa problem from the embassy side. He further added we would like to extend our business relation by establishing join ventures and encouraging the Chinese businessmen to invest in Afghanistan.”
His Excellency Mr. Yao Jing, Chines ambassador to Kabul Said: “politically we are not much active but economically we are the second largest country, we are here to extend business relation, establish B2B meetings, and provide facilities to business people, as far as the visa issuance is a concern, we will issue visa to all those traders who bring us a recommendation from ACCI. Apart from this he added that Afghanistan is still a unique and important location for us, as a good neighbor we are giving the first priority to Afghanistan”.
Mr. Haji Ghulam Nabi Eidi Zada, chairman of agriculture committee and board member of ACCI appreciated the role of Chinese embassy in strengthening the business relation, and added: “I have been exporting carton to China since almost ten years, we are ready to have joint ventures with China specially the Cement join ventures as china has with Tajikistan.”
Following the discussion Mr. Ibrahim Zarif members of BOD of ACCI spoke about his business with European countries and also shown his interest to start importing the animal skin to china as well.
ACCI’s leadership discussed different business and economic issues with Honorable ambassador. As a part of this gathering, the excellent performance of Mr. Yao Jing, Chinese ambassador to Kabul, was praised with presenting ACCI’s highest level Award to him by ACCI’s leadership in terms of close cooperation with ACCI as well as Afghan Private Sector.
