ACCI Delegation Meets with DECP and PUM

The ACCI delegation, Mr. Khan Jan Alokozay, Senior Vice-Chairman and Mr. Abdul Qadir Bahman, Deputy CEO visited the PUM and Dutch Employers Cooperation Program (DECP) on 28 July 2015 in Hague, Netherlands.

ACCI and DECP leadership highlighted on the long term pervious cooperation between ACCI and DECP based on the MoU signed between two parties. ACCI also appreciated DECP for its generously financial and technical supports in organizing the capacity building programs for ACCI employees. These programs have been productive for ACCI to serve and advocate efficiently and effectively Afghan business community.

Both parties focused on role of ACCI for the economic development in Afghanistan through lobbying and advocacy and providing services to the private sector of Afghanistan. ACCI expressed its gratitude and thanks DECP for offering its support to cover the cost of Customer Relation Management (CRM) database for ACCI, and informed DECP that unfortunately due to visa restriction, the ACCI employees could not attend the workshop of the CRM database. ACCI requested DECP to consider and give another change for ACCI employees to attend the next programs. DECP accepted that.

Both parties agreed to design 2 capacity building programs for the ACCI employees, in Italy and in Dubai soon.

And then, the ACCI delegation had a very productive meeting with PUM on 28 July 2015 in PUM office by the participation of Mr. Ehsan Turabaz, President of NABC and Honorary Consul of Afghanistan in Hague, Netherland, Mr. Hamraz, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission the Afghanistan Embassy to Netherlands and the DECP Directors and other officials.

The meeting with PUM was focused on upcoming trade mission of Afghanistan to Netherlands. A number of 15 business delegation from Health and Agriculture sector will travel to Netherlands in the month of October to attend the Business Conference in The Hague, Netherlands. This event will be organized by close cooperation of Afghanistan Counsel General in The Hague, PUM and ACCI. Both parties discussed about the details of the program, visa, expenses, and other needs of the program. The parties agreed to assign team from their respective organizations to work on the program.
