ACCI’s leadership delegation met with Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), on 26 March 2015 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and discussed on further cooperation and future joint ventures between two chambers and exchanged their ideas.
During the meeting Mr. Sharif Said the Chairman of TCCI while pointing out the good will and special attention of Tajikistan’s President over further expansion of business relationship with Afghanistan and removing the existing barriers, underscored that, since conduction of Afghanistan’s First Economic Development Exhibition, which was organized few year ago in Dushanbe, trade turnover between two countries have increased increasingly.
“The conduction of several joint and international exhibitions in Tajikistan and presence of Afghan companies, have contributed to transmit Afghan proficiency and experiments to Tajikistan.” he added. Mr. Sharif also pointed out that the Afghan Carpet Weaving System are used in Khujand City, which is definitely an achievement of the exhibitions.
While congratulation Afghans over the creation of National Unity government, Mr. Sharif hoped that economic policies of the government will get a practical aspect and the relations between the two countries will be even more expanded.
Furthermore, he asked for travel of a Tajik Business and Government Delegation to Afghanistan, which will attend in a business matchmaking conference, where they will be encouraged for more joint investments and beside that their problem and challenges will be addressed and practical efforts will be taken to resolve the challenges.
Mr. Alokozay while appreciating Tajikistan Presidents’ special attention to Afghanistan, said that the majority of problem have been solved and we do hope that remaining challenges will be addressed and solved soon.
He also acknowledged that Afghan government is firmly determined and committed to boost its business relations with its neighboring countries. He also added that bases of current business relationship of two countries was founded in the Afghanistan’s First economic Development Exhibition which was previously organized in Dushanbe.
Senior Vice chairman of ACCI expressed his optimism about accession of Tajikistan to Afghanistan and Pakistan Trade & Transit Agreement that will pave the ground for further expansion of two ties.
At the end, Mr. Alokozay proposed to organize an international exhibition with participation of traders and investors from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Pakistan in Dushanbe. He promised 100 Afghan companies will attend in this exhibition. This suggestion was applauded from TCCI. Both parties agreed to hold the exhibition in first week after Holy Ramadan Month.
About travel of Tajik Business and Government Delegation to Afghanistan, Mr. Alokozay pledged to do all the best in visiting factories and meeting with Afghan high ranking officials.
The delegation was led by Mr. Khanjan Alokozay, Senior Vice Chairman of ACCI and Mr. Nizamuddin Tajzada Board Member, Mr. Ahmad Tawfiq Dawari, Deputy CEO, Mr. Mohammad Qasem Nasiri, International Affairs Director and Mr. Hashem Rasouli, Public Relation Director of ACCI, were the members of the delegation.
