Afghan Companies Attend the Tajikistan Expo

37 Afghan companies attended to “International Exhibition & selling Festival” to showcase Carpet, Dried Fruits, Food Products, Beverages, Marble, Saffron, Construction Materials, Textile, Handicraft and Leathery Products to local consumers and international exhibitors and visitors.

The exhibition is organized by Soroosh International Event Managing Company and in support of Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Government of Republic of Tajikistan. The show is open to public from 10 - 14 March 2015 at Barbod Palace, Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

This is a great opportunity for the business communities and the governments of both countries to further strengthen their business ties and explore new business opportunities. It helps both to restore trade and economic relations, find new partners, create joint ventures and establish new ways of cooperation.

ACCI does believe that organizing of such economic events in the regional countries will pave the way to the integration of regional economies and will help to tackle the poverty, unemployment and insecurity across the region.

This exhibition is significant both in terms of the number of participants and the quality of the products they will exhibit.

Since 2009, when Afghan companies for the first time after the collapse of Taliban regime attended an exhibition in Tajikistan, bilateral trade between the two friendly nations has increased significantly. We wish to see further progresses in near future when Tajikistan will join APTTA (Afghanistan – Pakistan Trade Transit Agreement).

On behalf of Afghan business community, ACCI thanks the organizers of the exhibition, Soroosh International Event Managing Company, Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Government of Republic of Tajikistan.
