Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing the communication and information strategy.
  • Preparing annual/quarterly communication work-plans.
  • Monitoring news developments, screen and responding to press queries and requests for information, arranging interviews including preparing briefings for interviews and reporters.
  • Drafting press releases, statements, media advisories, media alert, letters to the editor and guest opinion editorials, organizing press conferences and briefings.
  • Maintaining closely contacts with mass media representatives
  • Promoting the events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, Advocacy conferences, matchmaking conferences and networking events.
  • Keep update the ACCI’s website and providing written content for the website.
  • Supervising  of the ACCI’s  magazine, newsletter and annual report, advocacy booklets, brochures and other publications in Dari, Pashto and English.
  • Controlling and managing the ACCI library and provide relent information to the visitors
  • All other legal and relevant assignments, assigned by ACCI leadership

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Personal Competencies Required
  • Must have good computer applications knowledge such as MS. Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and other database applications).
  • Should have a good knowledge of Afghanistan Business environment.
  • Should be fluent in Dari and Pashto and very good knowledge of English language as well.

Qualification Requirements:

  • At least bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent in a relevant field required; Master’s preferred.
  • High creativity in administration skills.
  • Strong ability and motivation.
  • Be skilled in computer equipment.
  • Adequate knowledge of management is essential.
  • Good knowledge of private sector and market economy
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to build rapport.
